ADDED PROTEIN DURING A WORKOUT MAY BOOST PERFORMANCE
Drinking a workout drink with protein in it during your workout drink may help your strength and endurance. Researchers from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia, found that sports drinks with as little as nine grams of protein increased endurance up to 40 %, and reduced post workout muscle soreness.
A second study at St. Cloud State University in Minnesota found that sports drinks with added protein and carbs and electrolytes, were 15 percent morie effective in hydrating atheletes than regular sports drinks and 40 percent more than water.
